The Friends of Sherborne House exists to support the activities of Sherborne House Arts in its plans to maintain an Arts Centre in the existing galleries. The Friends have, in the past, raised money to conserve the Thornhill mural in the House, run symposia on varied Thornhill-related topics and are at present involved in raising money to conserve a screen, decorated by Macready, the actor, and Charles Dickens.
